We are delighted to announce the acquisition of the Chemical Recoveries business based in Avonmouth. The acquisition has strong strategic importance both in bringing regional presence for Augean in the South West of England and new services to the Group, in particular the focus on hazardous waste recycling and recovery.
Since 1963 Chemical Recoveries has been dedicated to the processing of waste liquids, specialising in the recycling and recovery of contaminated industrial solvents, oils, sludges and wastewaters.
The 3.4 acre site is operated under a modern PPC permit and has a range of process options for different waste streams ranging from physicochemical and phase separation techniques, aerobic and anaerobic biological treatment, thermal recovery including steam distillation and bulking, blending and transfer activities. The site currently processes approximately 70,000 tonnes of waste per annum. The acquisition provides great opportunities for the future and development plans are already underway to enhance the sites services and capacities.
Business will be as usual and the existing management team will continue to provide the high standards of service that Chemical Recoveries customers have grown to enjoy.
