Liebherr Landfill Crawler Loaders

We have recently taken delivery of the first Liebherr machines to join our large materials handling fleet - four LR 634 Litronic fully hydrostatic crawler loaders, which are specifically designed and factory-built for landfill operations.

These specialist loading shovels have been deployed at our three landfill facilities near Middlesborough and Peterborough.

The LR 634 Litronic is an entirely factory-built tracked loading shovel of the highest specifications for landfill duties, featuring Liebherr's own highly developed hydrostatic drive system. The machine is powered by a 135kW output Liebherr D 934 L A6 Stage IIIA / Tier 3 diesel engine, which not only produces excellent fuel consumption figures but is also fully compliant with all the latest noise and exhaust emission reduction requirements.

Standard landfill specification on the LR 634 Litronic includes all the necessary features required to protect the machine and operator. These include lift cylinder covers, external air supply alternator, exhaust manifold isolation, radiator guard, engine air pre-cleaner with automatic dust ejection, cooling system reversible fan, final drive protection rings and fine perforated plates to the engine housing. All four LR 634 Litronic crawler loaders have been supplied to us with a 2m³ clamshell waste-handling bucket with trashguard.

For our operators, the spacious cabs on the LR 634 Litronic are comfortable, functional and safe work stations for optimum performance and minimum fatigue. They are glazed with tinted armoured glass, fully ROPS and FOPS protected, lightly pressurized to prevent dust and odour incursion and air-conditioned; the front windscreens are protected by a cage guard.

A fully adjustable seat, with ventral safety belt and seatbelt alert light, includes twin joystick controls integrated into the armrests - one for travel speed and direction, the other for attachment movements. The cabs are also equipped with fire extinguishers and reversing camera monitors.
