This consultation is now closed.

The purpose of scoping is to help identify issues to be considered in the Environmental Impact Assessment and the degree of detail necessary to assess the impacts.

The Scoping Consultation was initially undertaken in May/June 2011 whereby scoping reports were submitted to Northamptonshire County Council, prior to undertaking community engagement and a full Environmental Impact Assessment, as follows:

• Proposals for the Scope and Content of Three Section 73 Applications to vary Planning Permission Conditions and an Environmental Impact Assessment for an extension in time for the landfill disposal of hazardous waste and potentially low level radioactive waste, an extension in time for the operation of the soil treatment facility and other associated development at the East Northants Resource Management Facility, Stamford Road, Northamptonshire. Due to some misunderstandings of the purpose of the consultation by a few of the respondents the County repeated the exercise in August 2011.

The results of the consultation are taken into account in the Environmental Statement.
