Welcome to our ESG page which is a signpost to how Augean meets its Environmental, Social and Governance obligations.
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria are a set of selected standards for a company’s operations to demonstrate sustainability and stability. Environmental criteria consider how a company performs as a steward of nature. Social criteria examine how it manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates. Governance deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls and shareholder rights.
Since the company’s inception Augean has sought to follow best practice in environmental stewardship, social responsibility and corporate governance and the continuous development of ESG standards is an integral part of the business growth. This is demonstrated through our Company Values, policies and management systems. Since 2007 we have prepared an annual Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR) in which our ethos and operating practices are explained and our performance against selected criteria is disclosed. Our Annual report as well as publishing our financial performance explains our governance procedures, business strategies and risk management. Our approach is not only to record and transparently report ESG performance but from this data to make balanced judgements on where performance should be modified to better fit the business circumstances which can change through time.
The table below lists key ESG criteria and provides links to how Augean addresses them.
