Port Clarence Waste Recovery Park
Augean’s innovative Port Clarence Waste Recovery Park in Teesside handles a wide range of hazardous wastes including bulk and packaged waste (in drums, IBCs etc), sludges and effluents for recovery and disposal.
An integrated waste management facility that uses several complementary processes to recover more waste for reuse, recycling and treatment providing techniques which deliver BAT (Best Available Techniques).
Primarily handling hazardous waste, but also selected non-hazardous waste streams, these are treated using technologies such as stabilisation, bioremediation together with other forms of material recovery,
This process is designed to separate solid material from sludges leaving a liquid (which can be water or organic based). This process reduces the overall volume of waste by concentrating up the solids at the same time as decontaminating the liquid. The liquid becomes less contaminated and as a result less problematic to deal with as a waste.
This allows a number of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in packages and containers to be sorted, segregated and stored at the site pending their movement to other Augean sites for treatment and further processing. In this manner, containerised wastes can be brought to the site and put together with other appropriate wastes being stored there prior to their dispatch in full loads maximising operational and transport costing efficiencies.
Through our own fleet of vehicles we are able to collect and transport your waste safely. As a Waste Carrier we are registered with the required regulatory bodies and our drivers are fully ADR trained (Agreement on the International Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road).
Accredited to ISO 9001 (Quality). ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety)
